Q1. Before you introduce to us about Launchpool. Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background and how did you build Launchpool?

I am Richard Simpson the CEO of Launchpool. Before joining Launchpool, I worked as the Director of Research and Projects at Alphabit Digital Asset Fund. Before that I worked as a technical architect and project manager for a leading Information Technology Security Company.
Launchpool was born out of the idea that the different elements of the ecosystem weren’t really all pulling in the same direction, for example, projects live and die by their community yet the community are often the last to get to buy the tokens and generally don’t get as good deals so we wanted to do something about that.We wanted to create an environment that minimised risk for everyone. Risk of dodgy projects for small investors, but also for funds. We think our model minimises risk for them too. We aim to incentivise our community to stay with projects and use the service of the projects we launch so hopefully its a win win for everyone. Projects also get the benefit of a bootstrapped community and well connected investors/funds.

We have a number of key differentiators. Mainly focused around our quest to be fair to all participants. So-
1) Our focus is equality, so our community invests at the same price that the large investment funds do.
2) we have 10 industry known funds behind us providing deal flow. They also vet the projects and invest alongside launchpool. So you know the projects on our platform have passed the tests put on them by these professional investors.
3) we won’t operate first come first served or on a preferred tier basis. You stake your LPOOL to show interest in a project on our platform. Everyone that stakes gets a proportionate part of the allocation. Stake more LPOOL to get more allocation, everyone gets the same price and same vesting terms.
4) We are giving away free over 25% of our tokens to bootstrap our community. That can be you! Simply participate in our token distribution event starting on the 22nd.

Obviously short term the token distribution on monday. Medium term we want to list some great projects, hopefully in around 40–50 days. Longer term than that we have some exciting things coming, expanding our services and our opportunities.

When a creator wants to start a project, what kind of documentation will they need to provide? Will it really be possible to crowdfund from any country when the platform goes live? Or will there still be some restrictions?

They will need to provide the usual materials so we can understand the project, Whitepaper etc. We may need to incubate the projects a bit before we list them. They will need to KYC, we won’t launch anon projects. All proejcts must be structured in a way that is compliant with the regulations in the countries where they operate. Launchpool has been audited by Certik. What was the result of this audit? Why did you choose Certik to be in charge of carrying out this important step on a DeFi platform? What were the flaws found by Certik and which ones have you solved so far?

We chose Certik because they have a good reputation. Our tech team has worked with Certik before on other projecs and found them to be good auditors. They find no major flaws. I read on the Launchpool website about the Egalitarian Investing that the project is trying to implement. What is this Egalitarian Investing is all about and why do you think it is the most suitable system to a platform like yours?

Egalitarianism means everyone is equal. So for different stakeholders on our platform it is important to us that they’re all equal, because they all provide something valuable to the ecosystem. Influencers, marketers, small and large investors, they all play their part. so they should all get the same deal. We want to bring that to everyone and let everyone participate on equal terms. This is why we have 25% of our tokens designated for ‘Endeavour rewards’ ; these are token rewards that will be given to those who provide the most value. So yeah if you’re an influencer bringing us 1000 community members you might be entitled to some of these rewards. if you’re just a guy then probably not. But if you’re a token holder you can still get those great investment deals. The idea will be to create a circular economy as projects launch and Launchpool benefits from that. Launchpool will buy tokens off the open market to replace endeavour rewards earned by people adding value.

Q4. Right now issuing a token is a rather simple process. However, building the system and ecosystem is the most difficult part. My question is, How will the demand of the token will increase and how will this token use within the ecosystem?

We are creating a circular economy for our token. We have our endeavour rewards which will be given to community members who help the platform in some way, perhaps an influencer, or a proejct finder, or a tech helper or a community manager. When we have successful launches Launchpool will use the proceeds of that to buy LPOOL tokens off the market and replenish those we have given away. thus there is a circle and demand for our token

It is on our roadmap to list on a major exchange within 6 months. hopefully quicker, and hopefully as part of a bigger partnership with a major exchange.
